Among people is one who loves you with a love

openly affectionate, in no way falling short.

And when you put him to the test, his gaze bears witness—

to his love, through what lies within his heart.

And when you probe him, you say, “This man

is trustworthy; behind him lies a great fortune.”

But when you ask him for a quarter of a fals,

he consigns affection to the Subtle, the All-Aware.
