مَتى ما تَدعُ قَومَكَ أَدعُ قَومي

مَتى ما تَدعُ قَومَكَ أَدعُ قَومي

وَحَولي مِن بَني جُشَمٍ فِئامُ

وَحَولي مِن بَني جُشَمٍ فِئامُ

Whenever you summon your people, I summon mine;

When you leave your people, I'll leave mine

and around me are throngs of the sons of Jusham—

And I have around me the warriors of Banu Jusham

فَوارِسُ بُهمَةٌ حُشدٌ إِذا ما

فَوارِسُ بُهمَةٌ حُشدٌ إِذا ما

بَدا حُضرُ الحَيِيَّةِ وَالخِدامُ

بَدا حُضرُ الحَيِيَّةِ وَالخِدامُ

formidable horsemen, massed together, whenever

Horsemen of valor, an army whenever

the modest woman is seen running, her anklets exposed.
