تَغَيَّبتُ عَن يَومَي عُكاظَ كِلاهُما

تَغَيَّبتُ عَن يَومَي عُكاظَ كِلاهُما

وَإِن يَكُ يَومٌ ثالِثٌ أَتَغَيَّبُ

وَإِن يَكُ يَومٌ ثالِثٌ أَتَغَيَّبُ

I stayed away from both days of ʿUkāẓ.

And if there is a third day, I shall stay away.

وَإِن يَكُ يَومٌ رابِعٌ لا أَعُد لَهُ

وَإِن يَكُ يَومٌ رابِعٌ لا أَعُد لَهُ

وَإِن يَكُ يَومٌ خامِسٌ أَتَنَكَّبِ

وَإِن يَكُ يَومٌ خامِسٌ أَتَنَكَّبِ

And if there is a fourth day, I shall not return for it.

And if there is a fifth day, I shall steer clear.
