  1. وافى لبطرس نعم البكريوسف من

    أرخت باهي برب العرش ملحوظا

    To Butrus came Yusuf, a fine firstborn, whom

    I recorded in a chronogram: radiant, watched over by the Lord of the Throne.

  2. ورابع البكر قد ازهى مؤرخه

    وجاء باللَه ميخائيل محفوظا

    And he joined the firstborn as a fourth, making his chronicler proud;

    And Michael came, safeguarded by God.
