ربى العلياءِ ضاءَت إذ تهنّت

بمولودٍ كريمٍ خير نجلِ

The hills of glory shone as they rejoiced

My Lord, the Exalted One, shone when She was graced

At a noble newborn, the finest son.

With a noble newborn, the best son

سما عند الولادة في سعود

سما عند الولادة في سعود

فأصبح للسيادة خير نجل

فأصبح للسيادة خير نجل

At birth he rose amid good fortune,

Named at birth in Saud

And became the finest son fit for lordship.

Thus the best son was born for sovereignty

سنيّ المجد سامي الجد شبلٌ

سليل غضنفرٍ بل بحر بذل

A lion cub of splendid glory and exalted fortune,

Of glorious fame, lofty lineage, a cub

The scion of a mighty lion—nay, of a sea of generosity.

A scion of Ghudnfar rather an ocean of generosity

نباهي في أبٍ شهمٍ بشيرٍ

We take pride in a gallant father, Bashir,

We pride in a courageous father, a harbinger

A valiant man of Jumblatt ancestry.

ألا فاكرم بخير أبٍ وبابنٍ

May God watch over him and all the sons together,

With a life lengthened with each passing year.

With an increasing age, every year

يهنئك الإله به فأرّخ
