O, may God guard the lofty heights of this upper storey!

Good fortune escorted it in bridal procession, and delegations greeted it.

وبدا العز على اركانها

باسم الثغر ينادي للورود

باسم الثغر ينادي للورود

And glory appeared upon its pillars,

with smiling lips, calling people to come.

قد كساها اللَه أثواب البها

قد كساها اللَه أثواب البها

بجمال وحباها كل جود

بجمال وحباها كل جود

God has indeed clothed it in robes of splendor,

with beauty, and granted it every bounty.

لاح فيها الانس مذ حلّ بها

لاح فيها الانس مذ حلّ بها

عاطر الازهار من تلك الورود

عاطر الازهار من تلك الورود

Delight shone within it when there came to dwell

the fragrant one among the blossoms of those roses.

منزل الأفراح لا زال بها

منزل الأفراح لا زال بها

منهل الخير ارتشافا وورود

منهل الخير ارتشافا وورود

An abode of joys—may there ever remain within it

a wellspring of goodness, for sipping and coming to drink.

وتلالا حسنها الزاهي لنا

وتلالا حسنها الزاهي لنا

بالتهاني وتبدّى للوجود

بالتهاني وتبدّى للوجود

And its radiant beauty glittered before us

amid congratulations, and revealed itself to the world.

شيّدت من هبة الله الذي

شيّدت من هبة الله الذي

لاح من صدقة بارينا الودود

لاح من صدقة بارينا الودود

It was built from the gift of God, which

shone forth through the charity of our loving Creator.

وبدا التاريخ شفعا ظاهراً

أخراً في مفرد در العقود

And the chronogram appeared plainly, twofold,

at the close, in a single pearl of the necklaces.

Indeed, it holds our date in dotted letters,

and likewise, the undotted generously yield a date.

A chamber where good fortune sings, just as

the singer of its glory, rich in good fortune, cried out.
