يا ذا البشير الذي عمت مكارمه

يا ذا البشير الذي عمت مكارمه

وفاق كل أخي بذلٍ وصنديد

O Bashir, whose noble deeds have spread far and wide,

And who has surpassed every generous man and valiant warrior.

لك الهنا بحفيدٍ جاءَ مولدهُ

لك الهنا بحفيدٍ جاءَ مولدهُ

في سعد عزٍّ واقبال وتأييد

في سعد عزٍّ واقبال وتأييد

Congratulations to you on a grandson whose birth came

Amid good fortune, glory, prosperity, and support.

أو في كريم له من جدهِ شرفٌ

أو في كريم له من جدهِ شرفٌ

ومن أبيه جمالُ المجد والجود

ومن أبيه جمالُ المجد والجود

Or in a noble child, whose honor comes from his grandfather,

And from his father, the splendor of glory and generosity.

أنشاه مولاه في أمن وفي سلمٍ

ورغد عيش مدى الأزمان ممدودِ

ورغد عيش مدى الأزمان ممدودِ

May his Lord rear him in safety and in peace,

And in a life of ease, prolonged through all the ages.

فيا له من هلال ضاء طالعهُ

أرختهُ نعم نجلٍ خير مسعود

أرختهُ نعم نجلٍ خير مسعود

Oh, what a crescent moon, bright at its rising!
