O Bashir of glory, and O finest patron,

O bearer of excellence, O best patron,

Who excelled in rank and gained the blessings he desired.

Of lofty destiny and attained the finest wishes.

قد كسوت العلياءَ مجداً كريماً

وسقيت البطاح صافي السحائب

You have indeed clothed the heights in noble glory,

You have adorned the eminent with generous glory,

And watered the plains with the clouds’ pure rain.

And quenched the lowlands with the purest clouds.

وعلى كل جدولٍ وطريقٍ

وعلى كل جدولٍ وطريقٍ

شدت جوداً وقاية للركائب

شدت جوداً وقاية للركائب

And over every stream and road,

On every stream and road,

You generously built a safeguard for the mounts.

You have generously erected protection for riders.

ولنهر الدامور شيدت جسراً

حزت من أجله عظيم المواهب

حزت من أجله عظيم المواهب

And for the Damour River you built a bridge,

For which you won magnificent gifts.

For which you gained great talents.

The finest bridge, whose arches speak

The best bridge from which aqueducts are watered

Beautifully of Qays of the radiant stars.

With beauty that outshines the stars of Aldebaran.

جادك اللَه بالثواب أجوراً

وثناءً من كل ماشٍ وراكب

وثناءً من كل ماشٍ وراكب

May God lavish upon you rewards in recompense,

May God reward you with ample recompense,

And praise from every walker and rider.

وسعوداً ضاءت بنيل المطالب
