Indeed, this script was clothed in splendor

This line adorned with splendor

by the handwriting of our master Bashir, the chosen one,

Is the writing of our master Al-Bashir Al-Murtada

مشرقا عند معالي فضله

مشرقا عند معالي فضله

مثلما نجم شهاب قد اضا

مثلما نجم شهاب قد اضا

radiant in the presence of his lofty excellence,

Shining in the heights of his excellence

as the star of Shihab has shone.

Like a blazing star's radiance
