1. سبيل جرى فيه الصفاءُ وقد غدا

    عن الأعذبين الأطيبين يعيضُ

    A fountain through which purity flowed, and which has come

    to replace the two sweetest, most pleasant things.

  2. بناه بشير للجياد مجدّداً

    فارخت شهدٌ يا جواد يفيضُ

    Bashir built it anew for the steeds;

    so I dated it: “Honey, O generous one, flows forth.”
