You see him first at eating, taking the lead;
Yet when traveling, he comes in last.
وكمand how often وضعواthey set down سكرجةa small dish بقيةleftovers
وكم وضعوا سكرجة بقية
فماyet not منعتهit deterred him عنfrom صحنdish الشعيرthe barley
فما منعته عن صحن الشعير
How often they set down a small dish of leftovers,
Yet it did not keep him from the dish of barley.
