  1. منثور هذا الكتاب حين أتى

    يسمو على الدر وهو منظوم

    The prose of this book, when it arrived,

    Rises above pearls, though they are strung.

  2. أهدى لنا عرفه بمقدمه

    تأرج المسك وهو مختوم

    On its arrival, its fragrance bestowed upon us

    The wafting scent of musk, though it was sealed.
