بمكَارِمِ الأخلاقِ كُنْ مُتَخَلقاً

ليفوحَ نشْرُ شَذائِكَ العَطِرِ الشّذِى

ليفوحَ نشْرُ شَذائِكَ العَطِرِ الشّذِى

Embody noble qualities of character,

With virtues your character adorn

So that the scent of your sweet, fragrant perfume may waft.

So your fragrant blossoms sweetness will be borne

وانفَعْ صَدَيقكَ أن أردْتَ ودادَهُ

وانفَعْ صَدَيقكَ أن أردْتَ ودادَهُ

وادفَعْ عدَّوك بالتي فإذا الذي

وادفَعْ عدَّوك بالتي فإذا الذي

And help your friend if you desire his affection,

If a friend's devotion you wish to earn

And repel your enemy with that which ... then behold, the one who ...

Repel your foe's evil, then good in turn
