بِالذُلِّin abasement رَفَعتُI submitted قِصَّةَa petition الهَجرِestrangement إِلَيهِto him
بِالذُلِّ رَفَعتُ قِصَّةَ الهَجرِ إِلَيهِ
وَالأَرضُand the ground لَثَمتُI kissed خاضِعاًsubmissive بَينَbetween يَدَيهِhis hands
وَالأَرضُ لَثَمتُ خاضِعاً بَينَ يَدَيهِ
In abasement I submitted to him my petition about estrangement.
And I kissed the ground, submissive before him.
فيat الحالِthe present moment إِلىto حاجِبِهِhis chamberlain وَقَعَhe wrote a ruling ليfor me
في الحالِ إِلى حاجِبِهِ وَقَعَ لي
هَذاthis الشاكيcomplainant يَزادُis to be increased فيin الجَورِinjustice عَلَيهِagainst him
هَذا الشاكي يَزادُ في الجَورِ عَلَيهِ
At once he wrote to his chamberlain concerning me:
“This complainant shall be subjected to still greater injustice.”
