وقد جرّب الناس آل الزّبي

وقد جرّب الناس آل الزّبي

ر فلاقوا من آل الزّبير الزبيرا

ر فلاقوا من آل الزّبير الزبيرا

And indeed the people have tested the house of al-Zubay—

The people have tested the family of Az-Zubayr

—r, and met with calamity at the hands of the house of al-Zubayr.

And found Al-Zubayr to be the most excellent of the family of Az-Zubayr
