إليك أفِرُّ من ذُلّي وذنبي

إليك أفِرُّ من ذُلّي وذنبي

فأنتَ إذا لقيتُ اللَه حسبي

فأنتَ إذا لقيتُ اللَه حسبي

To you I flee from my humiliation and my sin.

To you I confess my disgrace and sin

For you suffice me when I meet God.

For with God, you are my sole recourse

وزورةُ أحمدَ المختارِ قِدما

وزورةُ أحمدَ المختارِ قِدما

مُنايَ وبُغيتي لو شاء ربّي

مُنايَ وبُغيتي لو شاء ربّي

A visit to Ahmad, the Chosen One, has long

And visiting Ahmed Al-Mukhtar's tomb

been my wish and my desire, if my Lord so wills.

Would relieve my woes, if God wills

فإن أُحرم زيارتَهُ بجسمي

فإن أُحرم زيارتَهُ بجسمي

فلم أُحرم زيارتهِ بقلبي

فلم أُحرم زيارتهِ بقلبي

So if I am denied visiting him with my body,

And if with my body I'm denied his visit

I have not been denied visiting him with my heart.

My heart's visit cannot be denied

فدونك يا رسولَ اللَه مِنّي

فدونك يا رسولَ اللَه مِنّي

تحية مؤمنٍ وهدى محبِّ

تحية مؤمنٍ وهدى محبِّ

So accept from me, O Messenger of God,

So accept, O Messenger of God, from me

a believer's greeting and a lover's guidance.

A believer's greetings, and love's guidance

سأجعل عروتي الوُثقى يقيني

سأجعل عروتي الوُثقى يقيني

لصحَّة ما أتيت به وحبّي

لصحَّة ما أتيت به وحبّي

I shall make my firmest handhold my certainty

I'll make my faith unshaking certainty

of the truth of what you brought, and my love.

In the truth you brought, and my devotion

عسى ودٌّ ثوى لك في فؤادي

عسى ودٌّ ثوى لك في فؤادي

على بعد سيوجب منك قربي

على بعد سيوجب منك قربي

Perhaps the love for you that dwells in my heart

May love for you find home in my heart

will, despite the distance, win me nearness to you.

And in your absence bring me nearer to you

شهدت بأن دينك خيرُ دينٍ

شهدت بأن دينك خيرُ دينٍ

بلا شكٍ وصحبُك خيرُ صَحبِ

بلا شكٍ وصحبُك خيرُ صَحبِ

I bear witness that your religion is the best of religions,

I bear witness your religion's the best

without doubt, and your companions the best of companions.

Without doubt, your company the finest company
