يا واصفاً ربه بجهل

يا واصفاً ربه بجهل

لم يقدر اللَه حق قدره

لم يقدر اللَه حق قدره

O you who describe your Lord in ignorance,

O you who describe your Lord with ignorance,

you have not accorded God His due.

You have not appreciated Allah as He deserves,

كيف يفوت الإله علم

كيف يفوت الإله علم

بسر مخلوقه وجهره

بسر مخلوقه وجهره

How could knowledge elude God

How can the knowledge of the Divine miss

of His creature's secrets and open utterances,

The secrets of His creation, overt and covert,

وهو محيطٌ بكل شيءٍ

وهو محيطٌ بكل شيءٍ

وكله كائنٌ بأمره

وكله كائنٌ بأمره

while He encompasses all things,

When He encompasses all things,

and all of it exists by His command?

And all exist by His command.
