أَخوكَ الَّذي لا يَنقِضُ الدَهرَ عَهدَهُ

أَخوكَ الَّذي لا يَنقِضُ الدَهرَ عَهدَهُ

وَلا عِندَ صَرفِ الدَهرِ يَزوَرُّ جانِبُه

وَلا عِندَ صَرفِ الدَهرِ يَزوَرُّ جانِبُه

Your brother is he who never breaks his pledge,

Your brother who does not break his covenant with time

Nor turns aside amid the reversals of time.

Nor turn his side when time turns hers

فَخُذ مِن أَخيكَ العَفوَ وَاِغفِر ذُنوبَهُ

فَخُذ مِن أَخيكَ العَفوَ وَاِغفِر ذُنوبَهُ

وَلا تَكُ في كُلِّ الأُمورِ تُجانِبُه

وَلا تَكُ في كُلِّ الأُمورِ تُجانِبُه

So accept what comes readily from your brother, and forgive his faults,

So from your brother take pardon and forgive his sins

And do not shun him over every matter.

And be not in all affairs to turn away from him
