You are not, O Kurd, a man of warmth,
You are not affable, O Kurdi,
Nor do I acquit you of deceit.
Nor do I absolve you of deceit.

You gave us neither sandal nor ring—
You have given us neither a sandal nor a ring.
Where have you come from? From the privy?
Where have you come from—from the privy?
