الدَهرُ طَلّاعٌ بِأَحداثِهِ

الدَهرُ طَلّاعٌ بِأَحداثِهِ

وَرُسلُهُ فيها المَقاديرُ

وَرُسلُهُ فيها المَقاديرُ

Time ever brings forth its events;

And its messengers therein are the fates.

مَحجوبَةً تَنفُذُ أَحكامُها

مَحجوبَةً تَنفُذُ أَحكامُها

لَيسَ لَنا عَن ذاكَ تَأخيرُ

لَيسَ لَنا عَن ذاكَ تَأخيرُ

Though hidden, their decrees take effect;

There is no postponing that for us.
