The dinar of the house of Sulayman and their dirham
The dinars of the house of Solomon, and their dirhams
Are like the two Babylonians, surrounded by demons.
Like the Babylonians, guarded by genies
لاnot يوجَدانِthe two are found وَلاand not يُرجىis hoped for لِقاؤُهُماmeeting them both
لا يوجَدانِ وَلا يُرجى لِقاؤُهُما
كَماas سَمِعتَyou have heard بِهاروتٍof Harut وَماروتِand Marut
كَما سَمِعتَ بِهاروتٍ وَماروتِ
Neither can be found, nor is there hope of meeting them,
Cannot be found, nor hoped to be met
As you have heard of Harut and Marut.
As you have heard of Harut and Marut
