My two friends, spare Suhayl ibn Salim

When he is absent, and greet him warmly when he appears.

And do not seek the bounty of a man with a cunt in his arse,

If what lies between your hidden parts is short.

    كَذَلِكَ حَمّادُ بِنُ نِهيا أَبو عُمَر

    Suhayl is generous, lavish with the cunt of his arse;

So too is Hammad ibn Nihya, Abu Umar.

When they mention me, they lower their heads before my majesty

And say, 'A generous man—but smallness mars his arse's spear.'

They have indeed turned away from me, though I never wronged them,

Except that what I have is small and has grown slack.

They demanded that I be well-hung,

Openly—but no, by God, He did not create men so.

If only one day—though that 'if only' is dead—I could be

As they demanded, so they could rest and I come to no harm.

Has anyone who perished ever returned from his destruction,

So that the departed might return, and those who died long ago?

No, indeed—but a need impelled them:

For its sake they loved every wretch endowed with knobs.

I see you an emir, O Suhayl ibn Salim,

Though you are the son of two people tattooed around the anus's rim.

    فَما يُحسِنُ الدَجّالُ إِن كانَ قَد شَعَر

    By my life, you have indeed become kin by marriage to Musa ibn Salih;

Then what can the Dajjal accomplish, if he has heard of it?
