إِذا رَضيتُم بِأَن نُجفى وَسَرَّكُمُ

قَولُ الوُشاةِ فَلا شَكوى وَلا ضَجَرا

If you are content that we be spurned, and are pleased by

If you are pleased that I be hidden away and feign ignorance,

the slanderers’ words, then there shall be no complaint or discontent.

Then no complaint or annoyance at the words of gossipers.
