وَإِنَّني في الصَلاةِ أَحضُرُها

وَإِنَّني في الصَلاةِ أَحضُرُها

ضُحكَةُ أَهلِ الصَلاةِ إِن شَهِدوا

ضُحكَةُ أَهلِ الصَلاةِ إِن شَهِدوا

And indeed, in the prayer I attend,

I am the worshippers’ laughingstock, if they are present.

أَقعُدُ في سَجدَةٍ إِذا رَكَعوا

أَقعُدُ في سَجدَةٍ إِذا رَكَعوا

وَأَرفَعُ الرَأسَ إِن هُمُ سَجَدوا

وَأَرفَعُ الرَأسَ إِن هُمُ سَجَدوا

I sit in prostration when they bow,

And raise my head if they prostrate.

أَسجُدُ وَالقومُ راكِعونَ مَعاً

أَسجُدُ وَالقومُ راكِعونَ مَعاً

وَأُسرِعُ الوَثبَ إِن هُمُ قَعَدوا

وَأُسرِعُ الوَثبَ إِن هُمُ قَعَدوا

I prostrate while the people bow together,

And hasten to spring up if they sit down.

وَلَستُ أَدري إِذا إِمامُهُمُ

وَلَستُ أَدري إِذا إِمامُهُمُ

سَلَّمَ كَم كانَ ذَلِكَ العَدَدُ

سَلَّمَ كَم كانَ ذَلِكَ العَدَدُ

And I do not know, when their imam

Gives the closing salutation, what the count was.
