وَرَضيتُ مِن طولِ العَناءِ بِيَأسِهِ

وَرَضيتُ مِن طولِ العَناءِ بِيَأسِهِ

وَاليَأسُ أَيسَرُ مِن عِداتِ الكاذِبِ

وَاليَأسُ أَيسَرُ مِن عِداتِ الكاذِبِ

And after long suffering, I was content to give up hope in him.

And I was pleased by the length of hardship in its despair,

And despair is easier than the liar’s promises.

For despair is easier than the lies of the deceiver.
