وَكَم تَرحَةٍ لَم أَحتَسِبها لَقيتُها

وَكَم تَرحَةٍ لَم أَحتَسِبها لَقيتُها

وَكَم فَرحَةٍ جاءَت عَلى غَيرِ مَوعِدِ

وَكَم فَرحَةٍ جاءَت عَلى غَيرِ مَوعِدِ

And many a sorrow I did not expect have I encountered;

And how many joys I did not expect to meet

And many a joy has come without an appointed time.

And how many delights that came unannounced
