  1. أحكمت دولةُ العلى تبجيلى

    وبطولى سبقتص سادات جيلي

    The realm of glory has firmly established the honor paid to me;

    And by my eminence I surpassed the masters of my generation.

  2. وتوسطتُ ذروة الفخر فرداً

    بين جديَّ أحمدٍ والجيلي

    And alone I took the central place at the summit of glory,

    Between my two grandfathers, Ahmad and al-Jili.
