أبو السبطين جلجلةُ التجلي

ورفرف دوجة الشرف الجَلي

ورفرف دوجة الشرف الجَلي

The father of the two grandsons, the resounding peal of divine manifestation,

Abu al-Sibtayn, pride of manifestation,

And the canopy of the [spreading tree?] of manifest honor,

And fluttering of the banner of evident glory,

ونائبُ خير خلقِ اللهِ طرًّا

ونائبُ خير خلقِ اللهِ طرًّا

بل المدعوُّ بالصهر الوَصِيِّ

بل المدعوُّ بالصهر الوَصِيِّ

And deputy of the best of all God's creation—

Deputy of the best of Allah's creation without doubt,

Rather, the one called the son-in-law, the appointed successor.

But rather the one called son-in-law and successor,

وصيٌّ شامخُ الشرفات ركنٌ

وصيٌّ شامخُ الشرفات ركنٌ

عظيمُ الجاه ذو بأسٍ قويِّ

عظيمُ الجاه ذو بأسٍ قويِّ

An appointed successor with lofty battlements, a pillar,

A towering successor, a pillar of glories,

Of great standing, endowed with mighty prowess.

Great of stature, with strong might,

ينوبُ الهاشميَّ وليس بدعاً

ينوبُ الهاشميَّ وليس بدعاً

إذ أناب الوصيُّ عن النبيِّ

إذ أناب الوصيُّ عن النبيِّ

He stands in for the Hashimite, and this is no novelty,

He represents the Hashimi, and it is no innovation,

Since the appointed successor acted on behalf of the Prophet.

Since the successor represented the Prophet,

نسيرُ بثورةِ الأزراحش نلوى

نسيرُ بثورةِ الأزراحش نلوى

ركاب السرِّ للأَسدِ الولى

ركاب السرِّ للأَسدِ الولى

We journey in the tumult of [unclear word], turning

We march with the revolution of stallions, we aim

The mounts of mystery toward the lion, the saint.

The feet of the secret towards the first lion,

فنأمنُ إذ نؤمُّ حماهُ دهراً

فنأمنُ إذ نؤمُّ حماهُ دهراً

ونقرعُ هامةَ الخطبِ الأَبيِّ

ونقرعُ هامةَ الخطبِ الأَبيِّ

So we are safe for ages when we seek his sanctuary,

So we feel safe when we support its protector for an age,

And we strike the head of unyielding calamity.

And we beat the forelock of major calamities,

ويعلوا حقُّنا والحقُّ يعلو

ويعلوا حقُّنا والحقُّ يعلو

إذا الحقُّ انتمة لحمى عليّ

إذا الحقُّ انتمة لحمى عليّ

And our right rises high, and truth rises high,

And our right rises high, and the right rises high,

When truth [belongs?] to Ali's sanctuary.

When the right leans towards Ali's protection.
