1. تَجَرَّدْ من مُكابَرَةٍ وجُحْدٍ

    إذا أمْعَنْتَ في صُحُفِ البَوارقْ

    Strip yourself of obstinacy and denial

    when you delve into the pages of the lightning flashes.

  2. وأوْصِلْ قَلبكَ المَقْطوعَ فينا

    وقَطِّعْ في مَحَبَّتِنا العَلائِقْ

    And join your severed heart to us,

    and sever attachments in your love for us.

  3. فَنَحنُ بَوارقُ النَّفَحاتِ غَيْباً

    تَبَدَّتْ من بَوارِقِنا الحَقائِقْ

    For we are flashes of spiritual breaths in the unseen;

    truths have become manifest from our flashes.

  4. فَخُذْ مِنَّا السَّبيلَ إلى المَعالي

    بِهمَّةِ عاشقٍ وبِقلبِ صادِقْ

    So take from us the path to the heights,

    with a lover's resolve and a truthful heart.

  5. وَدَعْ وَهْمَ الوُجودِ وسِرْ إلينا

    ولا تَلْوِ العِنانَ لكُلِّ ناعِقْ

    And leave the illusion of existence, and journey to us;

    and do not turn the reins toward every croaking voice.

  6. فَهذا اليومُ بُرْهانُ التَّجَلِّي

    لهُ منَّا لِسانُ الفَتْحِ ناطِقْ

    For this day is the proof of divine manifestation;

    the tongue of spiritual opening speaks for it through us.

  7. عصابَتُنا على أثَرِ الرِّفاعي

    غَدَتْ سُفُنَ السَّلامَةِ للخَلائِقْ

    Our company, following the trail of al-Rifa'i,

    has become ships of safety for all creatures.

  8. على قَدَمِ النَّبيِّ لها عُهودٌ

    مُبارَكَةُ المَعاني والوَثائِقْ

    In the Prophet's footsteps, it has covenants

    blessed in their meanings and their pledges.

  9. طَريقتُنا جَلَتْ سِرَّ التَّدَلِّي

    بِحالٍ دونَهُ كُلُّ الطَّرائِقْ

    Our path has unveiled the secret of descent,

    through a state beneath which all paths lie.

  10. سَيَمْلأُ نورُها الأقْطارَ طُرًّا

    ويَلْمَعُ في المَغاربِ والمَشارقْ

    Its light will fill the regions, all of them,

    and shine in the western and eastern lands.

  11. وتَبْرزُ من كَوامِنها شُؤُنٌ

    جَلِيَّاتُ الدَّقائقِ والرَّقائِقْ

    And from its hidden depths will emerge manifestations,

    clear in their subtleties and spiritual refinements.

  12. وتُفْحِمُ من حَواسِدِها قُلوباً

    بها من صارعِ البُهْتانِ طارِقْ

    And it will silence hearts among those who envy it,

    within which comes a visitor from the vanquisher of falsehood.

  13. ويُبْهَتُ جاحدٌ ويُذَلُّ باغٍ

    ويَتَّعِظُ المُخالِفُ والمُوافِقْ

    A denier will be confounded, and a transgressor humbled;

    and those who oppose and those who agree will take heed.

  14. ويَظْهَرُ من فَوارسِنا أُسودٌ

    طَوَوا في الله أجْرامَ العَوائِقْ

    And lions will emerge from among our horsemen,

    who have folded away, in God, the masses of obstacles,

  15. وباعوا أنْفُساً لله حتَّى

    بهِ سَبَقوا ارْتِقاءً كلَّ سابقْ

    and sold their souls to God, until

    through Him they outstripped every forerunner in ascent.

  16. كذلكَ إنْ أرادَ اللهُ أمراً

    أقامَ له اللَّواحقَ في السَّوابِقْ

    Thus, if God wills a thing,

    He establishes, for it, what comes later within what came before,

  17. وقالَ لأهْلهِ كونوا فَكانوا

    وأيَّدَهُمْ وإن فَجَرَ المُنافِقْ

    and says to its people, 'Be!'—and they come to be;

    and He strengthens them, even if the hypocrite acts wickedly,

  18. وألْبَسَهُمْ دُروعَ الحِفْظِ لُطْفاً

    فَصاروا فيهِ تيجانَ المَفارقْ

    and graciously clothes them in the armor of protection,

    so they become, in Him, crowns upon heads.

  19. وها نحنُ الذينَ أرادَ رَبِّي

    لنا هذا المَقامَ بغيرِ عائِقْ

    And behold, we are those for whom my Lord willed

    this station, without hindrance.

  20. فَأكْرَمَنا بِبُرهانٍ وعِلْمٍ

    به حِكَمٌ مَنيعاتُ الدَّقائقْ

    So He honored us with a proof and knowledge;

    within it are words of wisdom, unassailable in their subtleties.

  21. وقالَ خُذوا القُلوبَ إلى جَنابي

    فَعلمي سابقٌ والسِّرُّ لاحِقُ

    And He said, 'Bring hearts into My presence,

    for My knowledge precedes, and the secret follows.'
