أَصاحِبَ بَيتي إنَّ في مُسْدَلِ الخَفا

أَصاحِبَ بَيتي إنَّ في مُسْدَلِ الخَفا

أرى لكَ في طيِّ الشُؤوُنِ ظُهُورَا

أرى لكَ في طيِّ الشُؤوُنِ ظُهُورَا

O companion of my house, indeed, within concealment’s drawn veil,

I see your emergence in the folds of affairs.

وفي عتمَةِ اللَّيْلِ المُغَلْغَلِ بالهوَى

وفي عتمَةِ اللَّيْلِ المُغَلْغَلِ بالهوَى

ستبْرُزُ رغماً للحَواسِدِ نُورَا

ستبْرُزُ رغماً للحَواسِدِ نُورَا

And in the darkness of night, steeped in passion,

You will emerge as light, despite the envious.

فخذْ بعِنانِ العَزْمِ وابْلَجْ تمكُّناً

فخذْ بعِنانِ العَزْمِ وابْلَجْ تمكُّناً

وكنْ أَنْتَ في كلِّ الأَمورِ صَبُورَا

وكنْ أَنْتَ في كلِّ الأَمورِ صَبُورَا

So grasp the reins of resolve, and shine forth with mastery.

And be steadfastly patient in all affairs.

ولازِمْ بطيِّ اللَّيْلِ للذِّكرِ موطِناً

ولازِمْ بطيِّ اللَّيْلِ للذِّكرِ موطِناً

وكنْ عبدَ صِدْقٍ للإلهِ شَكُورَا

وكنْ عبدَ صِدْقٍ للإلهِ شَكُورَا

And in the folds of night, keep to a place for remembrance.

And be a true servant to God, deeply grateful.

ودعْ عُصبَةَ الحُسَّادِ فاللهُ رَغْمَهُمْ

ودعْ عُصبَةَ الحُسَّادِ فاللهُ رَغْمَهُمْ

سيُبْرِزُ من نسجِ الأَمورِ أُمُورَا

سيُبْرِزُ من نسجِ الأَمورِ أُمُورَا

And leave the band of the envious; for God, despite them,

Will bring forth matters from the weaving of affairs.
