إلهي تدارك بالشفاء وبالرضا
سقيماًan ailing man بهwithin him منfrom كربهhis anguish لاهبa blaze الغضاghada wood
سقيماً به من كربه لاهب الغضا
My God, come with healing and Your favor to the aid of
an ailing man, within whom his anguish kindles a blaze of ghada wood.
وأبدلهand replace for him هذاthis الهمsorrow روحاًrelief ورحمةًand mercy
وأبدله هذا الهم روحاً ورحمةً
وأسقامهand his illnesses منكfrom You الشفاءhealing الممحضاpure
وأسقامه منك الشفاء الممحضا
And replace this sorrow of his with relief and mercy,
and his illnesses with pure healing from You.
فكمfor how many مرةٍa time فرَّجتYou relieved كرباًdistress لمعسرٍfor one in hardship
فكم مرةٍ فرَّجت كرباً لمعسرٍ
بهaround him ضاقَgrew narrow مماbecause of what مَسَّهُbefell him واسعُthe breadth of الفضاopen space
به ضاقَ مما مَسَّهُ واسعُ الفضا
For how often You have relieved distress for one in hardship,
around whom the wide expanse narrowed because of what befell him.
