ما رفْرَفَ السَّعدُ إِلاَّ في مَحاضِرِنا

ما رفْرَفَ السَّعدُ إِلاَّ في مَحاضِرِنا

ولا انْجَلى العِزُّ إِلاَّ في مَظاهِرِنا

ولا انْجَلى العِزُّ إِلاَّ في مَظاهِرِنا

Good fortune has fluttered only in our gatherings,

Our auspicious stars have only shone in our gatherings,

and glory has shone forth only in our manifestations.

And glory has only been revealed through our manifestations.

كلُّ المَفاخِرِ إن حقَّقْتَ زُبْدَتَها

كلُّ المَفاخِرِ إن حقَّقْتَ زُبْدَتَها

مطوِيَّةٌ حينَ تَبدو في مَفاخِرِنَا

مطوِيَّةٌ حينَ تَبدو في مَفاخِرِنَا

All glories, if you ascertain their essence,

All boasts, if you examine their essence,

are folded away when they appear amid our glories.

Are folded when they appear amongst our prides.

رَقائِقُ الغيبِ تُمْليها سَرائِرُنا

رَقائِقُ الغيبِ تُمْليها سَرائِرُنا

ونَقْشُها مُستفاضٌ من سَرائِرِنَا

ونَقْشُها مُستفاضٌ من سَرائِرِنَا

The subtleties of the unseen are dictated by our inward secrets,

The subtleties of the unseen are inspired by our mysteries,

and their imprint is drawn in abundance from our inward secrets.

And their decoration abundantly flows from our mysteries.

والأَولِياءُ وإنْ جلَّتْ مَراتِبُهُمْ

والأَولِياءُ وإنْ جلَّتْ مَراتِبُهُمْ

لاذَ الأَكابِرُ منهُمْ في أَصاغِرِنَا

لاذَ الأَكابِرُ منهُمْ في أَصاغِرِنَا

And the saints, however exalted their ranks,

The saints, though their ranks are exalted,

the greatest among them have sought refuge among our least.

The greatest amongst them reside in our lowliest.

وكم بَصائِرُ قومٍ في الهَوى انْطَمَسَتْ

وكم بَصائِرُ قومٍ في الهَوى انْطَمَسَتْ

نالَتْ شُروقَ فُتوحٍ من بَصائِرِنَا

نالَتْ شُروقَ فُتوحٍ من بَصائِرِنَا

And many people's insights, effaced by passion,

How many visions of infatuated people have been obscured,

have attained the dawn of spiritual openings from our insights.

Having attained the dawns of openings from our visions.

وفي بَوادي التَّجلِّي عن حقائِقِنا

وفي بَوادي التَّجلِّي عن حقائِقِنا

دقائقٌ هي تُمْلى من حواضِرِنَا

دقائقٌ هي تُمْلى من حواضِرِنَا

And in the deserts of the manifestation of our realities,

In the valleys of divine disclosure of our truths

are subtleties dictated from our cities.

Are fine points inspired from our presences.

عَبيرُ مسكِ التَّدلِّي كلَّما عَبَقَتْ

عَبيرُ مسكِ التَّدلِّي كلَّما عَبَقَتْ

أَسرارُهُ راحَ يروي عن عَبائِرِنَا

أَسرارُهُ راحَ يروي عن عَبائِرِنَا

The fragrance of the musk of descent, whenever scent wafts

The fragrance of musk of inspiration, whenever it spreads,

from its secrets, begins to tell of our fragrances.

Its secrets quench thirst from our expressions.

وكلُّ أَعلامِ أهلِ اللهِ إنْ نُشِرَتْ

وكلُّ أَعلامِ أهلِ اللهِ إنْ نُشِرَتْ

تُطوى مع البَسطِ في مَجلى أَشائِرِنَا

تُطوى مع البَسطِ في مَجلى أَشائِرِنَا

And all the banners of God's people, when unfurled,

And all the signs of Allah's saints, if they are spread,

are folded even as they are spread, where our signs appear.

Are wrapped up in our assemblage of indications.

وأَنعُمُ المَدَدِ القُدْسِيِّ ما برِحَتْ

وأَنعُمُ المَدَدِ القُدْسِيِّ ما برِحَتْ

تنهَلُّ وَبْلاً خِضَمًّا من بَشائِرِنَا

تنهَلُّ وَبْلاً خِضَمًّا من بَشائِرِنَا

And the blessings of holy succor have never ceased

The most blessed heavenly support has not ceased

to pour in mighty torrents from our glad tidings.

To draw copious water from our glad tidings.

كُبَّارُ أهلِ الوَحا من كلِّ طائفَةٍ

كُبَّارُ أهلِ الوَحا من كلِّ طائفَةٍ

ما بينَ أَعتابِنا أو في دَوائِرِنَا

ما بينَ أَعتابِنا أو في دَوائِرِنَا

The greatest among the people of inspiration, from every community,

The greatest people of mystical states from every group

are at our thresholds or within our circles.

Are between our thresholds or in our circles.

نِيابَةُ المُصْطَفى في نشرِ حكمَتِهِ

نِيابَةُ المُصْطَفى في نشرِ حكمَتِهِ

قامتْ بغائِبِنا قِدْماً وحاضِرِنَا

قامتْ بغائِبِنا قِدْماً وحاضِرِنَا

Deputyship for the Chosen One in spreading his wisdom

The trusteeship of the Chosen One in spreading his wisdom

has long been upheld by our absent and our present.

Stood by our absent and present ones.

ونُورُهُ لم يزَلْ يُجْلى بباطِنِنا

ونُورُهُ لم يزَلْ يُجْلى بباطِنِنا

وعِزُّهُ ظاهِرٌ فينا بظاهِرِنَا

وعِزُّهُ ظاهِرٌ فينا بظاهِرِنَا

And his light continues to be unveiled in our inward being,

And his light continues to illuminate our esoteric dimension,

and his glory is manifest in us, in our outward being.

While his glory is evident in us externally.

لنا فُحولُ غُيوبٍ ظاهِراً خَطَبَتْ

لنا فُحولُ غُيوبٍ ظاهِراً خَطَبَتْ

على منصَّةِ دِينٍ من منابِرِنَا

على منصَّةِ دِينٍ من منابِرِنَا

We have masters of unseen mysteries who have openly preached

We have mystics of the unseen who have openly declared

upon a dais of faith, from our pulpits,

On the platform of religion from our pulpits.

من كلِّ جامِعِ طَوْرٍ في جوامِعِنا

من كلِّ جامِعِ طَوْرٍ في جوامِعِنا

وكلِّ حاضِرِ قلبٍ في حَضائِرِنَا

وكلِّ حاضِرِ قلبٍ في حَضائِرِنَا

from all who encompass a spiritual stage within our mosques,

From every sanctuary of Mount Sinai in our mosques

and all whose hearts are present within our precincts.

And every heartfelt presence in our dwellings.

تُلوَى بُروقُ المَعالي في مشاهِدِنا

تُلوَى بُروقُ المَعالي في مشاهِدِنا

وذي شُروقُ المَعاني في مقابِرِنَا

وذي شُروقُ المَعاني في مقابِرِنَا

The lightning flashes of lofty attainments are bent within our shrines,

The flashes of sublime meanings are folded in our sanctuaries

and this is the dawning of meanings within our graves.

As the risings of meanings are in our cemeteries.

وكلُّ ناثِرِ دُرٍّ دونَ ناثِرِنا

وكلُّ ناثِرِ دُرٍّ دونَ ناثِرِنا

وكلُّ شاعِرِ ذَوْقٍ دونَ شاعِرِنَا

وكلُّ شاعِرِ ذَوْقٍ دونَ شاعِرِنَا

And every scatterer of pearls is beneath our scatterer,

Every disseminator of pearls is beneath our disseminator,

and every poet of spiritual taste is beneath our poet.

And every poet of taste is beneath our poet.

خذْ عن صِغارِ حِمانا كلَّ مكرُمَةٍ

خذْ عن صِغارِ حِمانا كلَّ مكرُمَةٍ

وافْتَقْ رُتوقَ التَّدلِّي عن أَكابِرِنَا

وافْتَقْ رُتوقَ التَّدلِّي عن أَكابِرِنَا

Take every noble virtue from the lesser ones of our sanctuary,

Take from the small ones of our protective refuge every honor,

and rend the seams of descent through our greatest.

And draw the ropes of inspiration from our greatest ones.

قلْ للمُكابِرِ طَيْشاً مِتَّ في سَقَمٍ

قلْ للمُكابِرِ طَيْشاً مِتَّ في سَقَمٍ

عارَضْتَ عن حَسَدٍ سُلطانَ ناصِرِنَا

عارَضْتَ عن حَسَدٍ سُلطانَ ناصِرِنَا

Say to the recklessly defiant: 'May you die in sickness—

Say to the stubbornly resistant in sickness and delirium,

you opposed our champion's sovereign power out of envy!'

You have opposed the authority of our victorious supporter out of envy.

إذا عَبَثْتَ على جهلٍ بعاجِزِنا

إذا عَبَثْتَ على جهلٍ بعاجِزِنا

فقد بُليتَ ولم تشعُرْ بقادِرِنَا

فقد بُليتَ ولم تشعُرْ بقادِرِنَا

If, in ignorance, you toy with our powerless one,

If you play in ignorance with our helpless ones,

then you have been afflicted by our powerful one without realizing it.

Then you are already afflicted, and unaware of our Omnipotent.
