سيُنْسَجُ لي بسَمْكِ الكَوْنِ بدرٌ

سيُنْسَجُ لي بسَمْكِ الكَوْنِ بدرٌ

لآلِ محمَّدٍ يُنْمى ويُعْزى

لآلِ محمَّدٍ يُنْمى ويُعْزى

A full moon will be woven for me in the vault of the cosmos,

traced in lineage and ascribed to the family of Muhammad.

سأَكتُبُ في الحِمى عنه رِقاعاً

سأَكتُبُ في الحِمى عنه رِقاعاً

وأَنقُشُ في أَبي البَرَكاتِ رَمْزا

وأَنقُشُ في أَبي البَرَكاتِ رَمْزا

I shall write notes about him in the sanctuary,

and engrave a symbol concerning Abu al-Barakat.

سيَنْشُرُ من أَبي العَلَمَيْنِ طيًّا

سيَنْشُرُ من أَبي العَلَمَيْنِ طيًّا

ويُبرِزُ من خَفِيِّ الشأنِ عِزَّا

ويُبرِزُ من خَفِيِّ الشأنِ عِزَّا

He will unfold a secret of Abu al-ʿAlamayn,

and bring forth glory from hidden matters.

ويبْدو في زَمانٍ ذي شُؤُنٍ

ويبْدو في زَمانٍ ذي شُؤُنٍ

وكلٌّ حسبَما يَنْويهِ يُجْزى

وكلٌّ حسبَما يَنْويهِ يُجْزى

He will appear in an eventful age,

and each is recompensed according to what he intends.

فقِسمَةُ خالِصِ النِيَّاتِ نورٌ

فقِسمَةُ خالِصِ النِيَّاتِ نورٌ

وقسمَةُ فاسِدِ النِيَّاتِ ضَيزَى

وقسمَةُ فاسِدِ النِيَّاتِ ضَيزَى

For the share of one pure in intention is light,

while the share of one corrupt in intention is stinted.

ويرفَعُ بالأَماني رَفيعَ برْجٍ

ويرفَعُ بالأَماني رَفيعَ برْجٍ

له كتَبَتْ يدُ الأَقْدارِ حِرْزا

له كتَبَتْ يدُ الأَقْدارِ حِرْزا

And through hopes he exalts one whose tower stands high,

for whom the hand of fate has written a talisman.

وما ضرَّ الهِلالَ وقد تجَلَّى

وما ضرَّ الهِلالَ وقد تجَلَّى

إذا ما سامَهُ المنكودُ غَمْزا

إذا ما سامَهُ المنكودُ غَمْزا

And no harm befalls the crescent, once it shines forth,

if ever the ill-fated one subjects it to scorn.

أَصاحبَ سِرِّ هذا الرَّمزِ بُشْرًى

أَصاحبَ سِرِّ هذا الرَّمزِ بُشْرًى

تُؤَنِّقُ عن أَبي العَلَمَيْنِ طِرْزا

تُؤَنِّقُ عن أَبي العَلَمَيْنِ طِرْزا

O keeper of this symbol’s secret, here are glad tidings,

that adorn an embroidered motif of Abu al-ʿAlamayn.
