ياO أَيُّهاO you who القَمَرُthe moon الَّذيwho
يا أَيُّها القَمَرُ الَّذي
قَدindeed عَمَّspread everywhere بِالنورِwith the light المُبينِthe manifest
قَد عَمَّ بِالنورِ المُبينِ
O moon, you who
have spread manifest light everywhere,
اللَهُGod أَكبَرُis greatest لَيسَis not يُحcoun—
اللَهُ أَكبَرُ لَيسَ يُح
صى—ted ماwhat أَبَدتَyou revealed مِنَof القُرونِthe generations
صى ما أَبَدتَ مِنَ القُرونِ
God is greatest—none can count
the generations you have brought to light.
كَمhow many قَدindeed رَأَيتَyou saw مِنَof الوُجوfac—
كَم قَد رَأَيتَ مِنَ الوُجو
هِ—es وَكمand how many رَآكَsaw you مِنَof العُيونِthe eyes
هِ وَكم رَآكَ مِنَ العُيونِ
How many faces you have seen,
and how many eyes have seen you!
