Sol 6.1

  1. كَم ذا التَجَنُّبُ وَالتَجَنّي

    ما كانَ هَذا فيكَ ظَنّي

    How long this shunning and unjust treatment?

    This was not what I expected of you.

  2. أَنتَ الحَبيبُ وَلا سِوا

    كَ وَلَم أَخُنكَ فَلا تَخُنّي

    You are my beloved, and no one but

    you; I have not betrayed you, so do not betray me.

  3. مَولايَ يَكفيني الَّذي

    قاسَيتُ مِنكَ فَلا تَزِدني

    My lord, enough for me is what

    I have suffered from you, so give me no more.

  4. أَسقَيتَني صِرفَ الهَوى

    فَإِذا سَكِرتُ فَلا تَلُمني

    You gave me undiluted love to drink;

    so when I am drunk, do not blame me.

  5. حاشاكَ توصَفُ بِالقَبي

    حِ وَقَد وُصِفتَ بِكُلِّ حُسنِ

    Far be it from you to be described as

    ugly, when every beauty has been ascribed to you.

  6. لا لا وَحَقِّ اللَهِ ما

    عَوَّدتَني هَذا التَجَنّي

    No, no—by God's truth—you never

    accustomed me to this unjust treatment.

  7. غالَطتَني وَزَعَمتَ أَن

    نَكَ لَم تَخُن وَزَعَمتَ أَنّي

    You tried to mislead me, and claimed that

    you had not been faithless, and claimed that I had.

  8. قُل لي وَحَدِّثني فَما

    ذا مَوضِعُ الكِتمانِ مِنّي

    Tell me, and speak to me, for this is no

    place for keeping secrets from me.

  9. إِنَّ القَضِيَّةَ تَغَط

    طَت عَن سِوايَ فَكَيفَ عَنّي

    Indeed, the matter became

    hidden from others—how, then, from me?

  10. وَلَقَد عَلِمتُ بِما جَرى

    لَكَ كُلَّهُ حَتّى كَأَنّي

    And indeed I have learned what happened

    to you, all of it, so much so that it is as though I...

  11. وَمَتى جَهِلتَ قَضِيَّةً

    وَأَرَدتَ تَعلَمُها فَسَلني

    And whenever you do not know about a matter

    and wish to know it, then ask me.
