يُبَشِّرُني مِنكَ الرَسولُ بِزَورَةٍ
فَإِنso if صَحَّis true هَذاthis إِنَّنيindeed I لَسَعيدُtruly happy
فَإِن صَحَّ هَذا إِنَّني لَسَعيدُ
A messenger from you brings me glad tidings of a visit.
Your messenger brings me glad news of a visit.
If this proves true, I am happy indeed.
So if this is true, I am indeed happy.
وَلَستُand I am not إِخالُI think الدَهرَtime يَسخوis generous بِهَذِهِwith this
وَلَستُ إِخالُ الدَهرَ يَسخو بِهَذِهِ
أَلاtake heed إِنَّهاindeed it مِنfrom فِعلِهِits doing لَبَعيدُtruly far removed
أَلا إِنَّها مِن فِعلِهِ لَبَعيدُ
Yet I cannot imagine Fate being so generous as this.
And I do not think time would be so generous;
Indeed, such a thing is far from its ways.
Ah, such a thing is indeed far from its ways.

O master, whose servant I am,
So, O master, whose servant I am,
An intense longing for you has grown within me.
My intense longing for you has indeed grown.

When shall my eye drink its fill of you in a single glance?
When will my eye feast on a glimpse of you?
By your honor, that day will be an Eid to me.
And by your honor, that day will be a festival for me.
