ما طَفْلة ليس سوى إهابها
يفرشهاspreads her out as bedding المرءa man ولاand does not يحظىgain enjoyment بهاof her
يفرشها المرء ولا يحظى بها
What young girl is nothing but her hide,
Whom a man spreads out as bedding, yet does not enjoy?
تُلاصِقpresses against الخدthe cheek وذاand this منof دابهاher habit
تُلاصِق الخد وذا من دابها
شَبعىsated وإنand even though لمhas not تعتلفeat fodder بنابهاwith her fang
شَبعى وإن لم تعتلف بنابها
She presses against the cheek, and this is her habit.
She is sated, though she has not eaten fodder with her fang.
قدindeed ملأتshe has filled حاشيتيthe two sides of جرابهاher pouch
قد ملأت حاشيتي جرابها
أُخرجbring out وإلاor else كلناall of us قمناwe rose بهاwith her
أُخرج وإلا كلنا قمنا بها
She has filled both sides of her pouch.
Out with it, or else we will all rise with her.
