وَإِنَّكَand indeed you إِذwhen تَغتالُtreacherously destroy عِرضَكَyour honor ظالِماًacting unjustly
وَإِنَّكَ إِذ تَغتالُ عِرضَكَ ظالِماً
And you, when you treacherously destroy your honor, acting unjustly,
When you wrong yourself, acting unjustly,
You are like one who carries a burden upon a burden.
لَكالحامِلِsurely like one bearing الأَوزارِthe burdens of sin وَزراًa burden علىupon وزرِa burden
لَكالحامِلِ الأَوزارِ وَزراً على وزرِ
are surely like one bearing burdens of sin, burden upon burden.
At a time when I do not fend off harm from an insolent foe,

عَلىat حينِa time when لاnot أَمشِيI walk الضَراءَthe concealing thickets لِكاشِحٍagainst one harboring hatred
عَلى حينِ لا أَمشِي الضَراءَ لِكاشِحٍ
Whereas I do not creep through the thickets against a spiteful
عَدُوٍّan enemy وَلاand not يَجتَنُّis hidden مِنfrom ظالِمٍa wrongdoer وَتَريmy vengeance
عَدُوٍّ وَلا يَجتَنُّ مِن ظالِمٍ وَتَري
enemy, nor is my vengeance hidden from a wrongdoer.
