So, O rider, if you pass their way, be sure to convey this
O rider, if you pass by the dwellers of Kāhil,
To the sons of Kahil—foul be Kahil's faces!
Convey my greetings to the king of beauty's shoulders,
مَباشيمُbloated from overeating عَنfrom لَحمِthe flesh of العَوارِضِsick or injured camels بِالضُحىat midmorning
مَباشيمُ عَن لَحمِ العَوارِضِ بِالضُحى

وَبِالصَيفِ كَسّاحونَ تُربَ المَناهِلِ
Bloated with the flesh of stricken camels at midmorning,
Strolling at dawn over the flesh of the sand dunes,
And in summer, sweepers of dust from the watering places.
And in summer, covering the dust of the watering places.
