شَهِدناwe witnessed بِعَونِwith the aid of اللَهِGod أَفضَلَthe finest مَشهَدٍencounter
شَهِدنا بِعَونِ اللَهِ أَفضَلَ مَشهَدٍ
بِأَكرَمِwith the noblest مَنthose who يَقوىcan prevail عَلىover كُلِّevery مَوكِبِmounted host
بِأَكرَمِ مَن يَقوى عَلى كُلِّ مَوكِبِ
We witnessed, with God's aid, the finest encounter,
With God's help we witnessed the best scene
With the noblest of those who can overcome every mounted host.
With the most generous of those able to lead every procession
رَكِبناwe rode عَلىupon الجُردِsleek-coated horses الجِيادِnoble steeds سَوابِحاًgalloping like swimmers
رَكِبنا عَلى الجُردِ الجِيادِ سَوابِحاً
بِكُلِّwith every قَناةٍspear بَلnay بِكُلِّwith every مُقَضَّبِsword

And on the day of battle we spear every fighter on the flank.
And on the day of war we charge every armored one

قَدِمنا عَلى كِسرى بِشِدَّةِ حَربِنا
