Ah, who will aid a soul that neither dies to end its

suffering, nor lives a life with any savor?

Shall I abandon visiting the beloved out of fear of sin?

Indeed, forsaking the beloved is itself the sin.

So taste separation from her; you used to claim that it

was the right course. Ah, how often a claim is proved false!
