وغداة بطن بلاد كان بيوتكم

ببلاد أنجد منجدون وغاروا

ببلاد أنجد منجدون وغاروا

And on the morning at Batn Bilad, your homes were

In the morning, while the countrysides of your homes

in a land where men bound for Najd went upland and descended to the lowlands.

Were in the lands of Anajd being destroyed and pillaged,

وبذي الأراكة منكم قد غادروا

وبذي الأراكة منكم قد غادروا

جيفاً كأن رؤوسها الفخار

جيفاً كأن رؤوسها الفخار

And at Dhu al-Arakah they had left some of you behind—

At Dhi Al-Araka, they left from among you

corpses, their heads like pottery.
