وبقيت في السبعين أنهض صاعداً

وبقيت في السبعين أنهض صاعداً

فمضى لداتي كلهم فتشعبوا

فمضى لداتي كلهم فتشعبوا

And I remained, at seventy, rising upward;

And I remained in my seventies rising upward

Then all my age-mates departed and scattered.

So my friends passed away and went their separate ways
