لئن كنتَ غادرتَ هذي الحياةَ

لئن كنتَ غادرتَ هذي الحياةَ

وفزتَ بسُكنى ديارِ الصفا

وفزتَ بسُكنى ديارِ الصفا

Though you have departed this life,

If you have left this life

And won a dwelling in the abodes of serenity,

And won residence in the abodes of purity

فعارفُ فضلِك يبقَى أميناً

فعارفُ فضلِك يبقَى أميناً

كَسِيرَ الفؤادِ سليمَ الوفا

كَسِيرَ الفؤادِ سليمَ الوفا

Still, he who knows your worth remains faithful,

Then your virtuous one remains faithful

Broken-hearted, his loyalty intact.

Like the heart's path, sincere in loyalty

عزاءً أيا آلَه عن نواهُ

عزاءً أيا آلَه عن نواهُ

وصبراً على مرّ هذا الجفا

وصبراً على مرّ هذا الجفا

Consolation, O his family, for his absence,

Solace, oh kinfolk, from his intention

And patience with the bitterness of this estrangement.

And patience over the bitterness of this estrangement

مضى تاركاً وحشةً في القلوبِ

مضى تاركاً وحشةً في القلوبِ

وغادَرَ ربعَ الصفا قد عفا

وغادَرَ ربعَ الصفا قد عفا

He departed, leaving desolation in the hearts,

He left, leaving loneliness in hearts

And left the abode of serenity, now in ruins.

And departed from the quarter of purity, now hidden

فناديتُ في حينِ أرِّخْ ثوى

فناديتُ في حينِ أرِّخْ ثوى

سلامٌ على قبركَ يا مصطفى

سلامٌ على قبركَ يا مصطفى

So, when he lay at rest, I cried out—record the date:

So I called out at the time of laying to rest

Peace upon your grave, O Mustafa.
