لؤلؤةُ الشوفينِ دارُ السنا

هلَّ بأفق عُلاها هلالْ

هلَّ بأفق عُلاها هلالْ

The pearl of the two Choufs, the abode of radiance—

The pearl of Al-Shoufi is the home of glory,

A crescent has risen on the horizon of its grandeur:

It shone in its horizon like a crescent,

سليلُ مجدٍ قد بناه لها

سليلُ مجدٍ قد بناه لها

على أساس الفضل جيدُ الرجال

على أساس الفضل جيدُ الرجال

A scion of glory that had been built for it

An offspring of honor built it,

On virtue’s foundation by the finest of men.

On the foundation of the excellence of good men,

يا حسنَهُ بوُرِكَ فيها وَقَدْ

يا حسنَهُ بوُرِكَ فيها وَقَدْ

تَنَسَّمتْها طيّباتُ الخِلال

تَنَسَّمتْها طيّباتُ الخِلال

How lovely he is! May he be blessed within it, for

How beautiful it is, may it be blessed,

Noble qualities have breathed upon it.

It was scented by the aromas of generosity,

فعاشَ للمجدِ بِها أَهلُها

فعاشَ للمجدِ بِها أَهلُها

وللعُفَاة البائِسِين النوالْ

وللعُفَاة البائِسِين النوالْ

So may its people live there for glory,

For glory, its people have lived in it,

And bounty endure for destitute supplicants,

And for the wretched, destitute - sustenance,

وللمثاني الغُرّ تاريخُها

وللمثاني الغُرّ تاريخُها

وللمعالي في ذُرَاها الكمال

وللمعالي في ذُرَاها الكمال

And its history endure for resplendent praises,

And for virtues, its history tells,

And perfection endure for lofty deeds upon its summits.

And for the most high - perfection in its peaks.
