صفا كدر الشريعة واستقرا

وأيد أمرها بك واستمرا

وأيد أمرها بك واستمرا

The murk troubling the Sacred Law cleared, and it stood secure;

The murk of the sacred law has cleared and settled;

its cause was strengthened through you, and it endured.

And through you its cause was strengthened and endured.

لئن أحيا سميك فرد ميت

لئن أحيا سميك فرد ميت

فقد أحييت بالإسلام مصرا

فقد أحييت بالإسلام مصرا

Even if your namesake raised one dead man to life,

If indeed your namesake brought a single dead man to life,

you have brought Egypt to life through Islam.

Then you have indeed brought Egypt to life through Islam.
