Rejoice in festivals that now owe their glory to you,
Its days rejoice tomorrow in your pride,
and whose fame has traveled the star's course in your name.
And your name's mention has proceeded like a star's course.

If Time could, it would come offering congratulations
If time could, it would come congratulating
on days of good fortune whose feast has followed the fast.
The happy days of Eid that broke its fast.

The nights of fasting have passed, their tongue praising
The nights of fasting turned their tongues
you for deeds whose reward delights you.
To praise you for acts that made your reward easy.

And your generous face shone in them
noble dawn that stood in when their daybreak was absent.
Like the dawn's sun when its light rose.

So there is no night among them whose waning overtakes
No night advanced its darkness
the full moon of darkness without your face being its full moon.
With the full moon except your face was its moon.

Four of them passed and ten preceded them?

As you have, their halves would know no deficit.

You matched your beauty with beneficence, so these became alike:
And matched your beauty good deeds, so there resulted
for us, reports of your lofty deeds and firsthand experience of them.
For us your sublime news and its reports.

And at every turn a trait of yours is revealed,
In each is revealed a trait of yours
whose ease brings humankind's hopes glad tidings from you.
That gives hope to the hopes of creation through your ease.

If indeed the days have a sin that we reckon against them,
If the days have a fault that we reckon,
then your fair days are their excuse for that sin.
Your good days have from the fault an excuse.

their face beams and their mouth smiles.
Laughing in welcome, smiling of face.

You have secured them, O son of al-Kafil, with power
You guaranteed for them, O son of guarantors, with firmness
to which trials, smooth and rugged alike, submit.
That the smooth and rough roads would be indebted to them.

The ministry and the high station knew,

Despite the many sons, that you are her first‐born,
