يا موقداً نار القرى للساري

يا موقداً نار القرى للساري

ومشب جذوتها بكل منار

ومشب جذوتها بكل منار

O kindler of hospitality’s fire for the night traveler,

O fireplace, ignite the village’s fire

and stoker of its glowing ember at every beacon,

And light its sparks in every minaret

بلغت ترجوه من نيل المنى

بلغت ترجوه من نيل المنى

وتنافس الأخطار والأوطار

وتنافس الأخطار والأوطار

may you attain what you hope for in fulfilling wishes,

You have attained what you wished from desires

and in vying for high rank and desired ends.

And competed with dangers and calamities

وتضاعفت أبداً عليك ولا انقضت

وتضاعفت أبداً عليك ولا انقضت

بركات هذا الصوم والإفطار

بركات هذا الصوم والإفطار

And may they multiply upon you forever and never cease—

The blessings of this fast and breakfast are eternal

the blessings of this fasting and breaking of the fast.

They will never cease or diminish upon you
