We drank beside the river when it appeared
We drank by the river when it began
With waves that swell and do not diminish,
With a wave that grew but did not abate
كَأَنَّas though تَكَاثُفَthe close clustering أَمْواجِهِof its waves

As though the clustering of its waves
As if the crowding of its waves
Were the curves of a dancing maiden.
Were the cloaks of a dancing maid
