O you who have not had enough of forsaking love,

Would you not turn betrayal into faithfulness for me,

And gather from the trees of hatred, with the hand of love,

From what you planted in my heart, the fruit of estrangement?

Thus the crescent of union with you, in the sky of my affection,

Has been harmed by concealment through the eclipse of your abandonment.

So whenever the cloud of your displeasure clears through goodwill

From me and from it, that would be a novelty on its part.

I ask the one who has worn out my freshness through abandonment

Not to cloud what is clear in union with you.
